Overview:

The Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for helping oversee the sizing, fabric, construction, and production of all Born Primitive apparel. This is to ensure that products and services meet the Company’s standards of quality.

Some of Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Responsible for assisting the Sr Product & Quality Manager with the full-cycle quality control process:
    • Assist with auditing pre-production samples, including fabric, trim, sizing analysis
    • Involvement in product development and sampling stage
    • Measuring and weighing clothing samples
    • Communicating with suppliers when issues arise and come up with agreement on fixing the issue
  • Creating and assign product barcodes
    • Register and assign barcodes to current and new products
    • Assign and record barcodes across our platforms (Shopify, Groovepacker, etc)
    • Communicate barcoding process to suppliers and our returns department for new products
  • Catalog Product Defects
    • Document all product defects
    • Compile pictures and explanations of the issue for suppliers
    • Identify trends and issues that need to be addressed via our Quality Control process
  • Assist with updating Born Primitives product quantity available for sale, including website updates
    • Remove low stock products from the website for sale, turning products with quantities under 1 off (making sure they’re not core products)
    • Detail and record low products on spreadsheet, communicating with Supply Chain Manager
    • Review product collections on the website, checking for double images, errors
    • Update “Best Sellers” collection on the website, rotating products to keep them fresh

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in apparel industry (preferred)
  • Organizational skills to finish tasks in a timely and correct manner
  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to thrive in a quickly growing and very fast paced work environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while tasked with multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be available to work Monday through Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
